Project Engineer Welding

Function

Mission:

• Manage pipeline welding services projects specifically to ensure compliance to customer requirements and TDW standards, from first client enquiry until the successful job completion.
• Identifies new opportunities, new clients requirements and new opportunities to recommend potential strategic investments to the management and develops good relationships with the customers,
• Makes presentations of our welding capabilities and holds trainings for customers,
• Collects and analyses customer's technical data and determines the scope of the project and our responsibilities,
• Coordinates with the Engineering department the design of fittings and joint configuration,
• Assesses, reviews and/or writes welding procedures (WPS and PQR) and method statements,
• Prepares the list and make price inquiries for equipment, consumables & subcontractors. Plans and makes the project costing including manpower, equipment and consumables,
• Prepares the offer and files all related documents;
• Is totally accountable for the execution of the projects according to the contracts,
• Manages the project team dynamics to ensure a harmonious and productive working atmosphere,
• Coordinates on site welding operations and related activities in respect of the HSE rules and procedures,
• Monitors invoicing and receivables,
• Carries out "corrective action" and "customer satisfaction" studies on completion of each project,
• Reports to the Director Pipeline Services,
• Coordinates efforts with the project team members, liaises with all departments involved in the projects, and develops the coordination with the Sales Managers,

Profile

• An Engineering master degree is a must;
• A previous similar experience is needed.
• Sound knowledge of welding procedures and processes,
• Fluency in English,
• Good commercial and interpersonal skills,
• Problem-Solver.
• Strong organization skills and rigor, capability to work in a team on fast moving projects,
• Ready to travel extensively (50% of your time)
